Customize your own products dataset

Through the mappings section you view all the attributes of your product. Custom attributes can be added and many rules can be set to define and optimize your dataset.

Overview of your dataset

Your dataset looks like this:

Here are listed all attributes linked to your products, starting by all the fields coming from the instance feeds.

Dataiads data schema

The generic label for your attribute. Hovering the label allow to display more details (id, type). The field can be mandatory.

Status

By default, the field is unmapped. Editing and settings rules will map the product.

Preview

The value of the attribute from a random product.

Source field & mapping parameters

If many feeds are set, you can define a default source to display for each attribute. Advanced mode is also available to have a different display in output.

New mapping

At the bottom of your dataset you can add a new field, clicking on "New mapping"

To name your field you can either choose an existing one or create a custom name. The created attribute will always be considered as a text.

The "Custom" tag is added to defined the type of your field

Advanced transformation

By using the advanced transformation you can change the ouput of your mappings.

Source

You can define the output of your mapping using the source part. There is two types.

Simple mode

Allow you to pick a field from all your feed and define it as an output for your mapping

Advanced mode

Allow you to set an advanced query to transform an existing field using functions or other tools

Fallback source

An option named "fallback source" is also available to add other outputs. If the main output results in a empty value other sources can be added to be used instead as a fallback

Mandatory field & expected pattern

By activating mandatory field the product will be added to Dataiads only if the activated field is not empty. The "Mandatory" is added to defined the type of your field

In addition you can set an expected pattern to add the product only if the activated field matches the regex

Publish mappings

A final validation is necessary to integrate the mappings into the main GMC feed.

By clicking to Evaluate and publish you will access to an overview of all your mappings.

Once the mappings validated, clicking on "Publish transformations" will initiate the integration of the new transformations into the GMC feed. It will be done at the next main synchronisation

Results

Any transformation is updated to the product data. They are considered as custom attributes and can be used for every feature (experiences, custom layout, algorithms, etc..)
